How to Get to Žabljak#
Žabljak (Durmitor National Park) is best reached by road from Podgorica or Nikšić; there are no train services. Buses provide the main public access, but transfers are long and road conditions can affect journey times.
Podgorica Airport (TGD): Podgorica is the main airport serving Žabljak (Žabljak is in the Durmitor mountains); the road transfer by car or bus takes roughly 2.5-3.5 hours depending on conditions. Taxis and private transfers are available but can be costly for that distance.
Tivat Airport (TIV): Tivat is another option in summer, but it is farther and requires a longer road transfer (often 3+ hours). Most travellers arrive in Žabljak by bus from Podgorica or by private car.
Train: Žabljak is not served by rail.
