How to Get to Zeya Reservoir#
Zeya Reservoir and Dam are east of the regional center Blagoveshchensk. Drive northeast along the R297/M58 routes toward the town of Zeya (approximately several hours by car from Blagoveshchensk). Local buses serve larger settlements, but private transport is more reliable; winter travel requires winterized vehicles.

- Stand at the Zeya Dam viewing platforms at sunrise - the steel-and-concrete silhouette cuts a clean line against pale river mist.
- If driving, take the federal M58 road towards Zeya and watch for local rest stops; services are sparse in Amur Oblast.
- Bring warm layers even in summer - evenings by the reservoir can be surprisingly cool due to waterborne breezes.
