Best Time to Visit Zhuji#
Zhuji is most pleasant in spring and autumn when temperatures are mild and gardens bloom. Summers are hot and humid; winters are cool, damp, and quieter for visits.

How to Get to Zhuji#
Zhuji (Zhejiang) is well connected by high-speed rail and by road to Hangzhou and Jinhua/Yiwu-Hangzhou Xiaoshan is the main international airport used by visitors. High-speed trains are often the fastest, most convenient way to reach Zhuji from regional hubs.
Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport (HGH): Hangzhou Xiaoshan is the main international airport serving Zhejiang and is commonly used to reach Zhuji; the road transfer to Zhuji takes about 1-1.5 hours by car and costs roughly ¥150-¥400 by taxi.
Yiwu Airport / Jinhua (JHG) alternatives: Yiwu and Jinhua have closer regional airports and are often used for access to Zhuji - taxi transfers from Jinhua or Yiwu typically take 30-60 minutes and cost about ¥80-¥250.
Train: Zhuji is served by high-speed and conventional rail (Zhuji railway station and Zhuji East on some high-speed routes depending on service); trains connect Zhuji to Hangzhou, Shaoxing and Yiwu with fast journey times on high-speed services (30-60 minutes from Hangzhou on G/ D trains).
Bus: Intercity buses and long-distance coaches run to Zhuji from Hangzhou, Shaoxing and Yiwu; travel times vary by route and traffic but are generally comparable to road transfer times and are economical alternatives to taxis.
How to Get Around Zhuji#
Zhuji is easiest to reach by high-speed rail from Hangzhou and nearby cities; once in Zhuji, local buses, taxis and ride-hailing apps provide quick access across the city and neighbouring counties.
- High-speed trains (CRH/G/D) (¥20-¥120) - Zhuji is served by high-speed services connecting to Hangzhou, Shaoxing and Yiwu-journeys to Hangzhou can take around 30-60 minutes depending on the service. Trains are frequent, punctual and comfortable; book tickets in advance during holidays.
- Conventional trains (¥10-¥80) - Conventional rail services connect smaller stations and are useful for local commuters; they are cheaper but slower than high-speed trains. Use conventional services if schedules match your itinerary or for regional freight/commuter stops.
- Airport transfer taxis & Didi (¥80-¥400) - Taxis and ride-hailing (Didi) are the easiest way to get from Hangzhou Xiaoshan or Jinhua airports to Zhuji with door-to-door convenience. Taxis are metered; expect higher fares at peak times or for long-distance transfers. Pre-booking can save waiting time.
- Intercity buses/coaches (¥15-¥60) - Buses and coaches connect Zhuji with Hangzhou, Shaoxing and Yiwu and are a cheaper alternative to taxis. Coaches are frequent and drop passengers at central bus stations in Zhuji; comfort varies by operator. Good option for budget travellers or routes not served by high-speed trains.
- Walking - Zhuji’s town centre and commercial streets are walkable for short trips. For industrial zones or rural sites, use local buses, taxis or bikes as distances can be larger and sidewalks less continuous.
